I have two Subaru Brats for sale. I would prefer to sell them as a package deal and that is what the price is set at, but feel free to make an offer on one.
The First one (The one pictured) is a 1981 Brat. It is basically all stock. I was trying to restore it to classic nature for my wife. It was a daily drive till about a month ago. Runs strong. However, after the front in work the brakes got a bit squishy. Of course their is some panel damage and the interior is a lil rough. Make no mistakes it is a project, but a running one. Light and all work. It has passed inspection several times. But I would not trust it on the road right now with the brakes the way they are.
The Second brat (No pictures, will get some this coming week) is a 1979 Brat with a 1985 brat engine and transmission in it. That is my baby. I drove her until the beginning of 2018. Engine Still starts right up, but the head gasket blew out real bad so it does not hold coolant. I was planning on making her into a lovely rat rod. It is rough on the interior, no lies about that.
My recommendation is that you take the two and make one. Use the panels from the 1979 to make a classic restore of the ’81 or use the extra interior parts from the ’81 to make a sick rat rod of the 79.
Beyond that I have both sets of back seats which are hard to find. I have a full set of tires for each brat plus a extra set beyond that.
The only reason am selling these is because I am planning on moving soon, and the wife said it was time to make them gone because my job just does not give me the time to work on them like I would like. My loss your gain.
