Selling or willing to trade my 1983 Brat.

I freakin LOVE this thing, but I don’t get to drive it as much because I have a kid.

I’m wanting to trade for something that has a backseat big enough for at least a car seat.

Something like a Forester XT, Outback XT, WRX, or Legacy GT. Potentially Ford SVT cars or a foxbody.

You might recognize this Brat as being the verified fastest classic (it’s not a classic Subaru unless it’s a 4×140 PCD) Subaru in Oklahoma.

As evidenced by the OK Subies State Meet 2018, where it ran a blistering quarter mile time.

It has 160,000 miles and will slowly go up as I try to drive it a few times a week.

I bought this vehicle in late 2016 in non-running condition and have been fixing gremlins as time passes. Here are some factory features:

Glass t-tops

Rear-facing jump seats

Adjustable height torsion bar rear suspension

Air conditioning

Passenger bed side-step

Tachometer

So far I have:

Rebuilt the carburetor

New battery, new alternator, new starter

Cleaned and restored the fuel tank

Replaced various vacuum lines, replaced the front axle shafts with new ones, replaced the rear shocks, replaced both valve cover gaskets

Installed a Fumoto oil drain valve

Replaced the old rusted out muffler with a 2013 WRX muffler

Aftermarket off-road fog lights

Currently, the rear bumper is off for repair, I’ve just been too lazy to mess with it.

I also have various parts like a new oil pan gasket (that’s my next project)

Extra ball joints, and a lot of fuel filters.

Clean title in hand.

You probably think I’m smoking crack with the price.

But I’m basing my price off of Hagerty Classic Car evaluation guide.

And I really don’t want to get rid of it unless I can buy something else I would use.
