Vehicle runs and drives but needs further mechanical attention that I do not have the time to work through. This would be a great project vehicle.
1986 Subaru Brat with EA81 Motor and 4-speed Manual Transmission. Rear jump seats are installed but lack the seatbelts. Carburetor has been rebuilt, new fuel pump installed, fresh oil change with new filter, new coolant, topped off manual transmission fluid. Replacement rear glass included with vehicle. T-tops do not leak at all nor does any weather stripping.
Known Problems:
-Electronic Choke seems inoperable. Causes engine to idle high at around 3k
-Brake job needed (most likely new brakes all around plus fluid and bleed)
-Smoking from engine at both exhaust headers connections, no visible sign of oil leaks while running.
-Rear glass shattered, replacement glass included.
-Fuel gauge inoperable.
-Fuel pump control relay was broken. Fuel pump is hotwired. Would HIGHLY recommend a new fuel pump inertia switch or replacement revolution sensor before regular driving.
-Squealing from rear left while in motion. May be attributed to worn brakes or wheel bearing.
