Very rare 1979 Subaru Brat in good condition.

Runs and is drivable. Clean title and currently pno’d. Last registered and smogged in 2014. Driven maybe 1,200 miles since we bought it (Including driving it home from purchase in Utah). Original motor and 4 speed transmission. Includes iconic rumble seats in the back, and awesome Subaru wagon wheel rims.

Brand new tires, battery, carburetor and tune-up (plugs, wires, coil, rotor and cap, air filter, full filter, oil and oil filter.
Previous owner put in 4 point “Racing buckets” and after-market steering wheel and mirrors. They attempted to recover the dash and it didn’t go well. Shift on the fly 4×4, otherwise front wheel drive.

This is an almost 45 year old vehicle on the original motor and tranny, motor has at least 138k miles, likely more. Good clutch and brakes, doesn’t leak or burn oil, runs cool with fresh radiator and auxiliary electric fan. Head lights, brake lights turn signals etc all work.

Issues: this is an old car, it has some rust and some bondo and will need some tlc. Motor is tired and transmission synchronizers are worn. It will scratch shifting into second if not done slowly and will pop out of 3rd under hard load, (I hold the shifter to prevent this, also I don’t drive it hard obviously.

Very cool little car, extremely rare and I’m sad to sell it and that we didn’t have the time to restore it.
