I bought this 1983 Brat a while back for my kid as a 1st car.
I thought it was awesome the wife not so much. I then sold it to a guy who has screwed me around for several months and finally let me know he isn’t coming to get it as shipping was more than he expected.
Based on that she is back up for sale. She is by far one of the most original and complete brats I have seen and is pretty much 100% rust free. She has a small ding on the front left hand corner but apart from that is straight and original. Currently has a new webber on it but I also have all the original factory carbie and smog gear.
Has factory a/c but needs to be gassed. Runs, drives, stops as expected, does have some diff noise and needs a cv boot. Driver seat has a tear in it but everything else looks sweet.
I am currently driving it around and even without the ac working with roof panel up and windows down its fine in this heat.

Hi Brad, I am interested in your Brat. I have had three subarus over the course of my life and a brat has been on my bucket list for the last decade. Besides the CV boot and AC is there anything else the brat needs to make it a safe driver? Is the interior original? Are the seats original? I understand the driver seat has a tear but it is hard to tell from the photo if the seats are stock. How is the dash under the mat? Are most of the trim pieces there? How long have you owned it? Rust? I would be coming from Arizona to take a peek. Anything else you can tell me about it would be appreciated. Think it would make a 7 hour drive or would I need a trailer? Thanks for your time.
