More Info: Car was running great a couple years ago then stock hitachi carb crapped out and I let it sit for two years. Commuter car was stolen which motivated me to get the brat running.
Installed new:
Weber carb
Battery
Tires
Starter
Distributor
Ignition Coil
60 miles driven on all the above mentioned
Awesome T-tops which pop up or come completely out and fit behind both seats
When I finally got it running again i saw that the engine is now leaking oil and there are a whole mess of engine issues I don’t have the time or money to deal with. CHP found my stolen car and I can’t have two cars in SF. I poured lots of money into this car.
Car won’t shift into 3rd or 5th which makes driving more “fun”
Car runs and I drive it around but I would recommend towing if you are going to be leaving SF.
I paid lots of money to get the DMV back fees paid up. Reg good until October. Clean title in hand. Have original owners manual. Car was originally purchased in mountain view, ended up in Washington and then back to CA. Commercial plates too. No rust but body is beat up. No serious damage but small dents all over. There are tons of other things but you will need to come look. CV boots are also busted. Clicks when turning.
Comes with extra set of wheels, two stock air filter boxes, and rare cyclops third eye headlight which only fits in 1982 models but sells for $200+ on eBay.
Car will not pass smog right now because of new weber carb. Smog is on buyer.
I want to be up front as possible about the cars condition. it is far from perfect. If you have any questions I will do my best to answer them. I do not wish to waste anyones time.
