I am selling my 1986 Subaru Brat, I had the engine swapped with a rebuilt 1996 Subaru Legacy Engine, adding fuel injection and doubling the horsepower of the original engine, I also had the manual transmission rebuilt while they had everything out anyway.
Unfortunately some priorities in my life have shifted and I no longer have the time or money to finish this beautiful project.
I put about 7,000 miles on the rebuilt engine using it as a daily driver before I garaged it last fall. Odometer reads 242,197, I did the engine swap at around 235,000.
It runs, and drives just fine, but needs some TLC (and a bath) to get it into prime condition.
There is some body work needed, specifically rust by the rear tires.
The rear wheel wells were redone with bondo before I bought the car but they could use a better touch.
