More Info: Due to unexpected and sustained interest in the BRAT, it has been temporarily spared the crusher in search of a new home; as a basic parts vehicle or simply as a solid replacement engine and transmission. 1987 Subaru BRAT GL, one of the last few imported from Japan. 4WD Hi/Lo, T-windows, a real classic. The body is in fairly rusted shape, but exemplifies the ‘bullet-proof’ engine reputation. It has had a good deal of work done to ensure it runs dependably, but has been resting in a storage field since then, so it will need a new battery, fresh gasoline, etc.
