1983 Subaru Brat GL
Picked this out of a collection of cars. Put on a lot of new components to find out the frame is bent. Runs, drives and stops around town, freeway is not recommended.
New and installed on/in Vehicle:
Front axles (w/ new Castle nuts).
Front and rear rotors.
Front and rear brake pads.
Brake fluid.
Tires.
Oil change (mix of 10w40 and STP).
Fram oil filter.
One inch wheel adapters from 4×140 lug pattern to 4×100 lug pattern (old rims cracked and broke, scrapped)
Serpentine belt.
Rebuilt original carburetor.
Dome light (wiring to dome is shot, LED light is installed waiting for power).
Fuel bypass switch from burnt out FCM.
Rear shocks.
Front struts.
Gas cap.
Blindspot mirrors.
New in the box/misc. parts that will be included:
Front brake lines.
Push to start switch panel.
Radiator hoses.
K&N oil filter.
Collection of hubs, and lug nuts.
Front strut assembly’s that I pulled from this brat and another from a salvage yard.
Pros:
Drivetrain is in good condition.
Runs strong, drives and stops well around town.
EA82 engine with original carburetor that I rebuilt last year fixing the previous owners mistakes on their rebuild.
New 13 inch tires, rims were salvaged off an old Toyota that was lying around.
Cons:
Wheels are not balanced.
Lean on driver side front.
Alignment revealed frame damage on front driver side.
No jump seats.
Body cancer in various places.
Asking 2,000 for all the new parts, what I paid for it and the collecting of various parts and components.
