1986 Subaru Brat for sale.

4 speed manual transmission, 4×4. Mechanically this car runs very well and has been taken care of. It needs body work; the bed has some rotten spots. Rear shock towers had some steel plates welded, but that area still needs attention. Some rot around passenger rear fender. Front of the car is very nice. Rear shocks will need replacing, but they’re very easy to access.

This car is a running project that needs body work to get an inspection sticker. If you got the body work done, some new rear shocks, some new tires, this should easily pass inspection. The fuel tank looks old, but it doesn’t leak. I think a tree fell on part of the tail gate, and it needs some work on the bottom of it. Someone did some work to the rocker panels. Front shock towers are very good if not excellent condition, these are usually rotted out.

Interior of the car is missing the center console trim pieces. Two rips on the driver seat. But other than that’s is in very good condition. Door panels are in excellent condition. Radio works with two giant speakers behind the seats, sounds nice.

All the electronics work on this truck: lights, high beams, wipers, wiper fluid motor, fan blower motor all speeds, gauges, horn, defrost. No dash lights stay on, everything in good order. Original tool bag set is in the glove box. Window and t-top weather stripping is in very nice condition, no tears or dry cracking. Has crank windows, work with no issue, glass is all very good. Car drives great, all the gears work, no grinding in any of them, no grinding when you go into reverse. Electronic radiator cooling fan turns on and off as it should with the thermostat. Four wheel drive works without issue.

Brake lines are in excellent condition. Fuel lines are very good condition. The whole front end is great. The tires have tread but are old and some dry cracking. Front shocks are good, goes right up when you press it down, no oscillations. Battery should probably be replaced soon, since it says 5-year warranty on it, and I thought most places stopped 5-year warranty a long time ago. Paint is in decent condition, the previous owner touched it up in places where it got scratched, there is some paint touch up bottle that comes with it. Parking brake works perfectly and is tight!

New parts: thermostat and gasket, air filter, brake line, rear brake calipers, alternator, belt, rear speakers, exhaust system.

Has the title and registration. 10200 miles. Located in Northfield, NH. Trying to downsize from 14 cars to 6ish.
